It's been a while since I last wrote a blog post. I'm not entirely sure if people read blog posts anymore (so hey, if you're reading this...thank you!). In fact, it has been so long that I don't even know what to write or where to start. Sometimes the point is to just start somewhere - literally anywhere, to make it happen.

So let's start from the beginning.

I actually decided to write this post today because I was thinking about my previous blog, Locker Styler, that ran from 2011 to 2019. For context, I was in high school into early college years during that time and wrote so much any way I could. It evolved into this site, that was supposed to be my more professional creative portfolio, but those former posts were more fitting than I thought to my current life.

Did that make sense? I dunno. What I do know is that I discovered the magical power of the Way Back Machine Internet Archive site and got to witness snapshots of my former site and I'm quite proud of it.

The really cool thing about my life then versus now is that I am essentially still excited about the same things and created the same types of art, but now i'm on a much grander professional level. Back then, I was acting in fall plays, improv club, and my own original short films...now, i'm acting professionally in film/TV/commercials/print/music videos/etcetera, improvising daily on set, on studio tours, and at birthday parties as various characters, and creating original film/TV/commercials/music videos/etcetera on various absurdly advanced levels. Back then, I was writing a ton - but mostly focusing on my first book and now I have several books available and more on the way! I'm still setting up various events and opportunities to speak with aspiring creatives to share advice and inspiration. Oh, and i'm multitasking multiple creative avenues and drinking (debatably) too much coffee.

Some things never change.

I'm proud of it.

So what am I up to now? Well...

• creating and pitching film and TV

• acting, auditioning, and being on set on various levels

• finalizing season two of LA Mermaids (the pandemic, strikes, and my growing work schedule has made this one slower than expected but it'll be worth the wait!)

• writing/designing/publishing more books

• working multiple jobs (actress, studio tour guide, party princess performer...)\

• creating debut music on the way (it's a process)

• balancing life

• traveling, exploring, enjoying life

• i'm sure there are other things but i'm blanking at the moment
